24th Annual Sheep & Craft Festival

The Monroe County Sheep Producers Association announces the 24th Annual Southern Illinois Sheep and Craft Festival will be held April 10, 2010 at the Monroe County Fairgrounds in Waterloo, Illinois. Planned activities include sessions by sheep specialists, judging contests, spinning and craft demonstrations, shearing demonstrations, sheep dog demonstrations, sheep olympics, sheep pellet bingo, and others. Other family activities planned include kid's corner, performances by Thunder and Lightning Cloggers and an antique tractor display. Throughout the day there will be taste samples, cooking demos and vacuum-packaged cuts of lambs available to purchase. A special feature of the day will be a LAMB LUNCH served from 11AM to 2PM, featuring various cuts of fresh locally grown lamb. Come out to the fairgrounds April 11th and try the lamb chops, leg of lamb, burgers and brats. Commercial and other exhibits will display live sheep, equipment, feed and health products, sheep and wool craft items and others.
